Backlit Remote Control Guide

Whether you are setting up a new TV and need to configure your remote to it for the first time or you accidentally pressed a wrong button and now need to reprogram the remote, we’ve got you covered.



  1. TV, AUD, DVD, VCR, STB: Use one remote to control multiple devices. 
  2. Setup: Use for programming sequences of devices controlled by the remote. 
  3. Skip Forward, Skip Back, REW, PLAY, FFWD, STOP, Pause, Record: In STB mode, these control the DVR functions. In other modes, these can control a VCR, DVD player, or PVR. 
  4. Menu: Displays the menu. 
  5. Guide: Opens the interactive program guide. 
  6. Day +/-: Jump ahead or back one day in the interactive program guide. 
  7. Red, Green, Yellow, Blue: Access additional features of your STB. Functionality changes per screen. 
  8. Vol +/-: Increase or lower the volume. 
  9. Mute: Turn the sound on or off. 
  10. Aspect Ratio: Temporarily change the conversion mode from Original Size or Fit to Screen.
  11. Input: In TV control mode, this button will change the input of the device you are controlling. 
  12. Power: Turn on/off a selected device. 
  13. Live: Return to watching live TV. 
  14. List: Display a list of recorded, future, and series rules on your DVR. 
  15. Info: Display the current channel and program information. Press again for more detail. 
  16. Browse, Search, Arrow, and OK: Navigate and select on-screen choices. 
  17. Exit: Leave the current screen. 
  18. Page +/-: Page up or down in lists and the interactive program guide. 
  19. Channel +/-: Changes to the next higher or lower channel. 
  20. On Demand: Access video on demand services. 
  21. Last: Recall the last channel you were watching. 
  22. FAV: View your favorite channels. 
  23. Number Keys (0-9): Directly select a channel or enter options. 

PROGRAM YOUR BACKLIT REMOTE CONTROL FOR TV

To program your Norvado backlit remote control to your TV, follow these instructions. 
  1. Manually turn on the TV that you want to setup on the remote. 
  2. Press and release the TV key. 
  3. Press and hold the Setup key until the TV key blinks twice. 
  4. Press and release the TV key. The TV key will stay lit. 
  5. Find your TV brand from the list and note the Digit Key assigned to it. Press and hold down the Digit Key for your TV on your remote while pointing the remote at the TV. 
  6. Let go of the key when your TV turns off. Setup for that TV is complete.

MASTER POWER FEATURE

  1. Press and release the STB button.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the STB button blinks twice. 
  3. Press 9 9 5
  4. Press the POWER button. 
  5. Press the TV button and then the STB button. 
  6. Press and hold the SETUP button until the STB button blinks twice. 
  7. Press and release the STB button. Setup for the Master Power Feature is now complete.
