Can I test the battery in my UPS?
You can. To test the battery in the UPS, unplug the UPS from the A/C power outlet. The battery should begin supporting hardwired, non-cordless phones, and television and internet service(s), if applicable, in a non-use mode for up to 8 hours. This time span is dependent on service usage during testing period, charge and discharge cycles, battery condition and age, temperature, and load.
If your battery does not maintain service for the amount of time you would like, please feel free to request a new battery or a longer run time unit by calling our Service Team at 800-250-8927. Applicable charges for time and material will apply if new equipment is requested or a Norvado Technician is sent to your premise. If you’d like to replace the battery on your own and retest, you certainly can. Please refer to our article on battery replacement for more details.
