Norvado Service Requirements

A power source is a requirement for Norvado fiber service. Acceptable power source options are:

  • AC Outlet

  • Generator

  • Battery


It is estimated that Norvado equipment on a solar battery backup system would use a max of 16 Watts and a minimum of 9 Watts.

If using a solar panel, the recommended panel is a 100 Watt system. In addition to this sytsem, a 100 Amp battery is recommended to power the Norvado fiber equipment through the night.* Please ensure that your solar panel system has a voltage control so the panels do not bleed power during dark hours.

Upon installation, Norvado may add a2 Amp fuse between the ONT and the customer battery.
