POP3 to IMAP Email Settings

POP3 to IMAP Email Settings

Norvado's webmail platform offers IMAP configuration, which provides much better flexibility and security when using your email address on multiple devices. Directions for switching from POP3 to IMAP are below. We encourage you to make this change.

IMAP and POP are two methods to access email. IMAP is the recommended method when you need to check your emails from several different devices, such as a phone, laptop, and tablet. For more info on IMAP vs. POP, click here.

Email Programs

When you add your email account to your email app, it will usually attempt to set it up with IMAP access, without any input from you. If you are required to manually configure your settings, please follow steps below.

Using the settings matrix below, configure your mail client to send and retrieve mail. For authentication, use your full email address with your email password.

For directions on setting up your specific mail client, like iOS-based Mail or Android-based Gmail, follow their respective online documentation.

Authentication: Authentication is required for both sending and receiving email.
