SmartBiz & CommandWorx App | How to Add a Secondary Admin

The CommandWorx app for SmartBiz allows you to invite a secondary admin to manage the app. This feature is particularly helpful for businesses that have a secondary owner, assistant manager or leader that shares in the day-to-day business responsibilities. 

Instructions

Once the primary account has been setup: 
  1. Open the CommandWorx app from your mobile device. 
  2. Login to CommandWorx with the primary admin credentials
  3. Go to admin control page (settings, bottom right)
  4. Go to Account and Admins
  5. Select Invite Admin
  6. Add first name, last name and email address of a secondary admin. 
  7. Click on Send Invite
  8. Email will be sent to the Secondary email address. 
    1. Secondary Admin will click on Create my password and enter password. (Temp password)
    2. This email/password will be used by the secondary user to login into CommandWorx. 
    3. Secondary user can login to CommandWorx with username and temp password and set their new password. 
    4. Secondary email login will have access to all features with the exception of Account Admin.
  9. Checking Secondary Admin in "Account Admins" option in Primary CommandWorx account: 
    1. Login to CommandWorx with primary admin credentials. 
    2. Go to admin control page.
    3. Check secondary admin under "Account Admins" options. 
    4. If the secondary admin has set up their account, the status will show Activated. Otherwise, it will show Pending and you can choose to resend the invite.

Removing the Secondary Admin

Removing the secondary admin may be accomplished in the CommandWorx app following these steps:
  1. Within the CommandWorx app, go to settings (gear icon) and select Account and Admins
  2. Under Secondary admin, simply swipe left over the name listed. A trash can will appear, click on that to remove the secondary user.
