To charge the Arlo Essential Camera, use the included USB charging cable.

To charge the camera outdoors, use one of the following accessories:

• VMA3600 Essential Solar Panel

• VMA3700 Essential Outdoor Charging Cable

Note: The battery in the Arlo Essential Camera cannot be removed.

USB Charging

The USB charging cable that came in the box with your camera is for indoor use only. You must dismount your camera and bring it indoors to charge it with the included charging cable. Connect the charging cable to a 5V, 2A power adapter. Power adapters less than 2A will take longer period of time to properly charge the camera.

To charge your camera with the included indoor USB charging cable:

1. Remove your Arlo Essential wireless camera from the mount.
   Note: You don’t need to unscrew the mount from the wall. You only need to unscrew the camera from the mount.

2. Bring the camera indoors.

3. Pull the flap at the bottom of the camera to reveal the USB charging port.

4. Plug the USB charging cable into the camera.

The VMA3700 Essential Outdoor Charging Cable is weather-resistant and can continuously charge your camera battery when connected to an outlet.
