SmartBiz & CommandWorx App | How to Setup Network Resilience
Network Resilience (WAN Failover) helps prevent disruption of network connection by identifying an internet outage or other failover event and automatically rerouting traffic (in approximately 90 seconds) to an active cellular connection until internet is restored. This must be set-up prior to a network failure event and cannot be set up during a failover. Both wireless and wired network resilience may be used at the same time.
To Setup Network Resilience
From the My Network screen in your CommandWorx app, tap Network Resilience to select a mobile device to provide cellular/LTE service for your most critical networks.
On the Network Resilience screen, do the following:
Tap the toggle to enable Network Resilience. The toggle turns green when enabled. CommandWorx automatically searches for mobile hotspots.
Select a hotspot from the list.
Enter the password for the hotspot network.
Select which networks should use the cellular/LTE service.
Tap Save once the connection is successful.
The Primary Network and Point of Sale Network are backed up by default. You may also toggle on the staff and/or customer networks to be backed up.
