SmartHome Security | Geofencing Setup in the Arlo Secure App

The Arlo Secure app does not function correctly for the Arrive/Leave settings when using an Android device. To remedy this issue, use the following steps to setup Geofencing in the Arlo Secure App. 


These are the steps to setup geofencing in the Arlo Secure App. You must follow these steps twice, once for "Leave" and another for "Arrive".
  1. Launch the Arlo Secure App on your device.
  2. Tap Routines > Automations > "+" > Add Arrive/Leave
  3. Name the automation. Example: When I leave.
  4. Tap Edit Geofence and select your preferred radius. Suggested is Medium. Tap on Save.
  5. Tap on Anyone Arrives. Here, you can choose People Arrive or People Leave. You can also choose a specific device to trigger the geofencing or all devices if you have more than one device. Make sure to tap Save.
  6. Tap Add an Action > Change mode and select the preferred mode accordingly. Make sure to tap Save.
  7. You will be re-directed to the previous page. Tap Save again.


Note: Enable GPS or location services so that Arlo can locate your device. Location is required.
